On the sands of this unnamed world overlooking the water stretching out to the horizon you gaze out and then up at a small point of light. This is our home. From here, it is no longer a pale blue dot; our entire galaxy is just one speck of light. That small dot, barely visible, represents the light of 300 billion stars, including ours. All with a chance for life, and billions of chances for evolution to bring about unique species, all within that tiny point of light.
Now that you have a better sense of the vastness we live in, grasp the concept of religion formed in a time where we could not even begin to understand a concept like this. Think of how far we have come and the enormity of the stage upon which we are all players, and tell me that Christianity matters, that Islam matters. Tell me how savage, warlike men of one evolved species of ape received the truth that explains what you are looking at. Look at how small you are, how tiny our species is in the context of an intergalactic measurement of time and space. But, your ancient mythology got it right, huh? This was all made for us, right?
How fucking arrogant of you.
